What is the best way to travel to the ski resorts?
Travel to the Norwegian winter sport destinations involves taking the boat from Kiel (Northern Germany) to Oslo, or a flight to Oslo Gardermoen. There are buses from the airport to Trysil, Hemsedal and Geilo. We advise any guests wishing to take their vacation in Sjusjøen to travel by car. This makes the boat crossing an attractive option (take your own car on-board). Furthermore, the boat crossing can work out cheaper than the flight and you will also avoid the bus trip to the ski resort. Åre lies slightly further to the north. There are direct flights to Trondheim Vaernes. Åre means a bus trip of 2.5 hrs.
