We always go skiing in the Alps, what can we expect from a winter sport vacation in Scandinavia?
In the Alps, the pistes are often crowded and there are long queues at the lifts. The winter sport resorts in Norway and Sweden are quite different. Even in the high season, you often have the feeling that you have the pistes all to yourself and it's not unusual to walk straight into a lift. Scandinavia does not have the large and uninviting apartment buildings often found in some of the Alpen ski resorts. Most of the apartments, almost all having a sauna and an open fireplace, are in houses - usually 4 to 6 apartments under one roof. Not to mention the guarantee of snow in the Norwegian and Swedish ski resorts, the perfectly prepared pistes, the magnificent nature and the numerous activities on offer apart from the skiing.
