What is the difference between Åre By and Åre Björnen?
The centre (Åre By) offers steeper pistes, more bars, restaurants and shops. Björnen is somewhat quieter and more suited to beginners and children. You can ski back and forth from the centre of Björnen and there is also a ski bus that travels several times each day between both villages.
