From the highest peak Totten, you can enjoy a stunning sunrise and the breathtaking views of Hemsedal and the surrounding mountains. Standing at the top, you'll understand why Hemsedal is called "The Scandinavian Alps”.

From the top, you have kilometers of fantastic skiing ahead. Ski or board all the way down to the center of Hemsedal, enjoy the slopes, the amazing views and a delicious lunch at one of the restaurants in the center.

Children's area and Valle ski area

The children's area at the SkiStar Lodges is perfect for beginners of all ages. With ski lifts, conveyor belts and the green ski slopes, the Valle ski area provides a safe environment for children to learn how to ski.

Snow parks and fun ride

Ski slope 32 offers a fun ride with jumps for skiers and snowboarders of all ages and levels. The larger snow parks, Red and Blue, provide challenges for the more experienced skiers and snowboarders. Alternatively, you can try the ski cross course or the slalom track for even more excitement!

Opening hours and additional activities

The ski lifts are generally open from the start of the season until the first week of February from 09.00 to 15.30 hrs and after that, until 16.30 hrs. For those seeking more adventure, morning and evening skiing are also available. The dog sledding trip will complete your winter experience, a unique and thrilling activity.

Accommodation

We offer nearly all cabins and apartments here, most of them located directly on or close to the slopes and lifts. For even more comfort, there are the SkiStar Lodges, offering high-standard apartments, ski in/out.

Accessibility

Travel by ferry from Kiel to Oslo, a magnificent journey that we can offer at a discount. From Oslo, it's just a 3-hour drive to Hemsedal, along a scenic route. Or, you can fly to Oslo, rent a car or book a bus to Hemsedal.
