Visit the charming city of Lillehammer

Hafjell is 15 minutes away from charming Lillehammer, famous for hosting the Olympic Winter Games 1994. In Lillehammer, you can enjoy the bars, restaurants and shops and its main street is annually named the most beautiful in Norway during Christmas.

Cross-country skiing in Hafjell

Not only skiers and snowboarders can enjoy Hafjell, but cross-country skiers also have plenty to explore. There are 600 kilometers of cross-country trails for beginners and advanced skiers, leading to Sjusjøen, Nordseter, Lillehammer and Rondane National Park.

Family-friendly ski resort

The ski resort offers bars, restaurants and shops and there are plenty of activities for the children. The family park Hunderfossen with trolls, witches, princes and princesses, is nearby. Hafjell Hotel, which houses Play World, is just a short walk away.

Opening hours and additional activities

The lifts are generally open from the beginning to the end of the season, from 09.00 to 16.30 hrs. Evening skiing is also possible here.

Accommodation

In Hafjell, we offer a variety of accommodations, from luxurious cabins to comfortable apartments.

In the Dalområdet area, right by the slopes, you'll find beautiful cabins, perfect for families and groups of friends. Restaurants, ski rental, ski schools and the supermarket are all within walking distance.
 
In Midtområdet, you can enjoy stunning views. Here you'll find Mosetertoppen, the gondola's top station. Stay at the new mountain village Favn Hafjell, where you'll find everything you need, including a ski rental, supermarket for essentials and cozy restaurants and cafés. The ski slopes are right outside and for the little ones, there's a separate conveyor belt.
 
In Toppområdet, you'll find excellent skiing and cross-country opportunities, ski in/out accommodations and the popular restaurant Gaiastova.

 

Accessibility

Most guests travel by ferry from Kiel to Oslo, a beautiful journey that we can offer at a discount. With your car on board, you have flexibility and can bring plenty of luggage. From Oslo, it's only a 2.5-hour drive to Hafjell, making the ski resort very accessible.
